2004 Memorial Day Weekend in Los Angeles

GOALS & OBJECTIVES:
  • Promote cooperation among Koreans concerning tongil and peace on the Korean Peninsula.
  • Develop a collective analysis of the current political climate and the role of Koreans in this historical moment.
  • Build our collective power to impact public discourse and U.S. policy on Korea and Korean community issues.
  • Strengthen connections between Koreans involved in diverse local, national, and international movements.
  • Build and strengthen our personal connections (meet the people you write emails to) and have fun!
WHEN: Memorial Day Weekend (Friday night, May 28th to Sunday evening, May 30, 2004). We are asking participants to commit for the entire Moim 2004.

WHERE: Aldersgate Retreat Center, 925 Haverford Avenue, Pacific Palisades, California, 90272.

WHO: Koreans active in their communities, working for social, political and economic justice, who are interested in linking local struggles to a larger national network and want to participate in the movement for peace here and on the Korean Peninsula.
